Rethinking farming that rebuilds the Amazon rainforest

It’s well documented that raising cattle is one of the greatest contributors to global warming. Clearing out the jungles of South America for cattle ranches–or for palm oil plantations in Indonesia, another critical zone–has decimated the Brazilian Amazon.

Here is a video on how one organization, The Nature Conservancy, is working with farmers in Brazil to show them how to farm sustainably and protect and restore the wild environment as well.

The film was produced with NationSwell, an organization which “elevates and drives actions behind solutions to America’s greatest challenges.”
